When you purchase services from Virgin Media via our website or by telesales you have the right to cancel your contract without giving any reason and without penalty within 14 days from the day of the conclusion of your contract, the delivery of your equipment or activation of your services, whichever is the later, under S.I. No. 484/2013 - European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 as amended or any other legislation. To exercise the right to cancel, please contact us by post to PO Box 11419, Blackrock, Co Dublin, via our Customer Care contact number at 1908 or complete our online cancellation form within the 14 day period. Please note that if you request the commencement of the performance of the services during the cancellation period, you shall be liable for an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided up to the point you cancelled your order in comparison with your full contract, together with any chargeable usage. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication before your cooling-off period has expired. Any refund due to you (less deductions due to Virgin Media) shall be discharged within 14 days of the date of return of the equipment to Virgin Media. The MMDS service was shut down on April 18th and customers will start to receive their final bill over the next week or so. A large volume of MMDS customers remained active up to 18th of April and the finance team will process a refund cheque if there is any money owing on their account. Due to the high volumes of refund cheques to be issued, our Finance team have been forced to extent the clearance time on processing refund request for MMDS customers from 4 to 6 weeks. Work Instructions: For all MMDS customer please follow these guidelines: · Advise the customer that a refund cheque will be posted out to them within the next 6 weeks. · Please do NOT raise a Refund request as the finance team will process the refund automatically ( we need to avoid any duplicate refund requests) · All refunds processed will be cheque ONLY and will be posted out the customer within 6 weeks. The following interaction will be uploaded onto the MMDS accounts that will receive their refund cheque within 6 weeks: Update on Refunds Cheques. Please advise the customer that a refund cheque will be posted out within 6 weeks. Apologise to the customer for any inconvenience caused. Please DO NOT raise a refund request case as the refund will be processed automatically by the finance team.
