Frequently Asked Questions

If I want to connect wirelessly (wifi), where will I find my Network Name (SSID) and security password ?

Your Network Name (SSID) and password are located on a sticker underneath your modem.

If you cannot locate the sticker, your SSID and password will be in your welcome guide or starter pack. You can also connect your computer directly to the modem with an Ethernet (RJ45) cable to access the modem settings and get your SSID and password from there.

To do this follow the steps below associated with your modem type:

Virgin Media Hub

For your Virgin Media Hub, please follow the steps below:

1.  Type: 192.168.0.1 in your browser window(address bar) to open up the modem log in page. This can be done when connected to your Hub over WiFi or via an etherenet cable.

2. Once the login window opens, type in your settings password and click on 'Continue'. You will find your settings password on the sticker at the bottom of your modem.

3. Then click on the 'Configure your WiFi network' button, where you will see your current SSID (Network name) and password. You can also change your SSID and password from here.
